Has the Bury Curry Club tried the Flavours restaurant on Manchester Road in Bury? I couldn't find any reviews on it on this website. It looks stunning!
found a new place only been open one week
this pace is called Holdi spice lounge on Bolton Road Farnworth
it has a very extensive menu at reasonable prices i would suggest that this place is well worth a visit from the club
food was excellent and pleny of tables
a really nice place we will be going again next week.

May be a little out of the way but in my opinion (not being a curry connoisseur) its worth the visit, shahjan, longsite rd(A59)clayton le dale Nr BAE systems, lovely settings & food brilliant. but you really do need to pre-book. if you have been let me know what you thought. regards
With the greatest respect to the person who wrote the write up, the volume of numbers should not be used to protect the restraurant as the table numbers have not increased just been put together, they were under staffed yet had sufficient time to be organised, I gather Aprrox: 2 weeks notice had been given, since the numbers of the club has increased we would recommend a list pre-ordering the food would eliminate or reduce the possibility of this happening again, in defence of Dhaan the food was very good!
I have heard mixed reports about the former Curry Cottage, as the old restaurant is still in our list perhaps we should all go and check it out in February?
"Thali"-ban? Thought i would share my thoughts on the Thali I had from what was formely the Curry Cottage in Bury Dhaan..
This must have been the worst meal I have had in a long time, I had the meat Thali which consisted of four identical curries (for those unaware a Thali is usually four or five dishes which are totaly different) and it was totally bland. I should have suspected the worst when I was given chips as one of the dishes I questioned the waiter when he brought them thinking he must be giving me the wrong order only to be told they came with it, I replied that I didn't come to an Indian for chips???? When I questioned the waiter (who had described to me what he thought i would be getting when placing the order e.g a chicken tikka lamb tikka mixed curry vegtable curry a yogurt dish nan etc) he said he had also asked the chef when he saw it as he thought it looked wrong only to be told that is how meat tali came in this resteraunt and that was that. The waiter couldn't appologies enough as he had worked in other places and had served Thali as I thought it should be but there was no offer of money of or even a free drink. Needless to say I will not be returning anytime soon.
